Our Food Bank & Free Hot Meal (Cafe) Program Hours

In order to serve you better we need you to arrive and be signed up for a food bank hamper 10 minutes prior to close. We appreciate your understanding.  

Tuesday: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

     Wednesday: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

 Thursday: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Friday: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Individuals and families living in our area can receive 2 full food bank visits/month, while those experiencing homelessness can receive up to 4 visits/month receiving smaller amounts at one time.

Requirements For Food Bank Service
(No ID Requirements for Hot Meals)

For EACH Food Bank Visit Please Bring:
 Government Issued Photo ID For Each Member of Your Household 18 & Older And A Piece of ID For Dependents Under 18

PLUS

 CURRENT Proof of Address That Clearly Indicates Name, Date, & Address (Recent Utility Bill, Tax Bill, OW and/or ODSP Statement, Child Tax Benefit or Other Government Pension Statement or Government Mail)

 Photos of ID On Your Cell Phone Are Not Accepted As ID

 Failure To Provide The Above May Result In Minimal Or No Food Service Until Appropriate Documents Are Produced

 We Have Created An Internal ID System For Those Who Are Unhoused & Are Known To Us

NOTE: You may be referred to another food bank if you live outside of Bancroft and the immediate area. To ensure more equitable and fair access to food in more rural areas we freely share food resources & other supports with neighbouring food banks in the communities of Coe Hill, Maynooth & Lake St Peter as part of North Hastings County. Further food sharing partnerships are ongoing with surrounding organizations and food banks in areas such as Cardiff, WIlberforce, Barry's Bay and as far away as Belleville.
